An Artzy Chicks Mystery by Judith LucciThere's a great set of characters in this mystery story including Lily Lucci, writer of mysteries,, thrillers, and crime books and LauraLea (aka the Diva) who owns the Artisans Gallery and their friends and neighbors as well as their collection of pet dogs. Lily seems to always be in the middle of things while LauraLea is there as her right hand.Being a mystery writer, Lily has decided to get involved in finding a killer putting herself in danger. There's s...
I’ve read Radical Regatta by Anna Celeste Burke. It was a wonderful read. The human characters are very interesting and some have names related to a movie and TV show. The main characters’ nicknames are Gidget and Moondoggie. One of the suspicious characters is Earl Gardner who is involved with Dr Mason. The story grabs you quickly with Brien aka Moondoggie swimming out to rescue a dog that’s swimming for its life with no sign of its owner. Kim aka Gidget and Brien end of fostering the dog they n...
Overall. I give the box set 4 Stars. I definitely recommend reading Summer Snoops Unleashed.***The Most Glittery Crime of the Year: The Jewel Heist by Judith Lucci---5 StarsLily and LauraLea are back in the latest story in the Artzy Chicks series. A murder occurs near the gallery and they were the last people known to have seen the victim alive. Things turn really serious when Vino finds hidden treasure and someone is out to get it away from Lily before she hands it over to the police. With seve...
A great anthology that has (bother it!) added some more authors to be ever increasing TBR list!We have cats, dogs, a horse and recipes (at the end which makes it easier). As with any multi author anthology there are some stories I preferred over others. some of them seemed to end a touch sharpish! Some were longer than others, so if you like animals and cozy mysteries there will, undoubtedly, be some thing in here for you to enjoy, and the fact that they help support animal rescue is just the ic...
The Summer Snoops Collection is a fun bunch of cozies, with some cute and cool critters as sidekicks or other associates. Animal rescue is a great cause, and I especially enjoy reading new materials from some favorite Cozy authors. One trio that has captured my heart is from the Apple Orchard Mystery series. Their usual fuzzy companions include an adorable miniature horse. The story in this collection mentions a charming cat who walks his human for exercise.Chelsea and Aunt May are on the road w...
A Knead to Kill - Chelsea ThomasMiss May, Chelsea and Teeny head off to Vermont to compete in the Great Bake-off. And when they get there, they find the judge is George Rivers, the meanest, no-hold-barred, insulting, humiliating TV judge of all time, and he was having a grand old time slating off one of the contestants at the hotel reception. And then Chelsea encounters his dead body when she goes swimming in the lake soon after! With no end of suspects, as most everyone hated him, the trio have...
This is a review for A Knead to KillFriends Miss May, Chelsea and Teena have left the town of Pine Grive to attend a baking competition that Miss May is hoping to win. Expecting perhaps a rivalry between the other contestants, what they don’t expect to find is the dead body of the Celebrity Judge. True he was rude and obnoxious and thought some of the contestants were “stale”, but who could have killed him? Not willing to let the contest be cancelled, the three set out to find the murderer. A qu...
My review is for Death in Mercy by Susan Boles. This book is a prequel to her Lily Gayle Lambert Mystery Series. I have read and enjoy all four books in the Lily Gayle Lambert series and I was very excited to hear that a prequel was included in this wonderful anthology. The backdrop of the story is the planning for the St. Patrick's Day Shamrocks and Shenanigans party. There is a murder mystery, southern charm, laughs, and sleuthing. This is 5 stars! To continue the series, check out Death of a W...
Kindle Copy for ReviewRadical Regatta is one of the stories in this Summer Snoops Unleashed: 14 Furr-ocious Mysteries and Cozy Crimes box set that support pet charities. Out on the water prove to be a deadly place for someone. Once again the writer gives us a cozy thriller that takes place on the beach. A quick read with a lovable dog and murder involved.
This is a review for Radical Regatta (Corsario Cove Cozy Mystery #4) by Anna Celeste Burke.Kim and Brien and Father Bede Greco are at the beach. Brien spotted something in the water. It's a dog. Brien rescues it. He and Kim become foster parents to the dog since the owners are not responding to phone calls from the animal hospital. The dog had a chip so the owners could be found. Other people seem to be after the dog. Attempts are made on Brien and Kim's lives. Archie the dog and Pepe the parrot...
Have read the book Radical Regatta in this collection and a review for that book. Easy fun read. Love Anna's books. Kim and Brien are as quirky as ever as their side kicks are too. They have fostered a dog, Archie and Pepe, the talking parrot. Of course there are murders to solve, which they do but get into a lot of trouble on the way. Highly recommend! Have now read Jewel Heist by Judith Lucci and it gets a thumbs up!! This is the 3rd book in the Artsy Chicks series and is as good as the first
I received A Knead to Kill as a separate book to review and it is part of this box set. This review is for that book only in the boxset. I have loved the Apple Orchard series and was happy to see this little novella become available. This book can be read as a stand alone, but the stories do actually progress so I recommend starting at the beginning. Each book has a solid conclusion to its particular story line. I do not recommend reading them out of order if you choose to read the series. And
