Lots of action, as interesting as Book 1. But ... two things bothered me. (view spoiler)[First, when London learns that a werewolf has become a berseker in the lobby of a building, and that a werewolf lives in the penthouse of this building, she does not check it. But she should, it's the right thing to do in this situation. She doesn't because it's central to the plot resolution. This takes away some plausibility from the plot. Then, the book that Antonia consulted in front of London, and which...
Good**WARNING! Cliffhanger!** this one is more book-hook than anything else, but it definitely leaves the reader hanging!Book two of the series sees our heroine London, searching for the reason behind a series of incidents involving werewolves. The case thrusts her into the path of prince Callan again, and the two of them have to work together for a time.An engaging read, the series is filled with magical mayhem, mixing a dystopian future with mythology to create a fascinating realm. The book is w...
Supernaturally hilarious detectives This book lives up to the “supernatural joyride” comment in the books info. The action, adventure and mayhem Callen and London get up to its as thrilling as it is hilarious, plus the chemistry between the pair practically jumps off the page. I’m loving this series!
love this seriesI should knock on wood with how excited this made me feel but yo, I liked this a lot. Especially when I stumble upon books hoping it’ll be something that fits my mood or preferences. The writing is good. To the point, flows well, keeps me enthralled and doesn’t feel laggy. London gets a little commentary sometimes but I enjoy her humor. I love Cal and the way he can make a big impact with so little limelight and conversation. It plays a lot with London’s thoughts, I think. Which i...
more like 3.75 stars but I’ll round up!pro: I like the way that callan and london’s relationship is progressing— I’m a suck for a slow burner so I love that they’re going from strangers to coworkers to friends(ish) to somewhat of a romance! My fav part of this book was when the two of them went traveling together for work and it was solely about them. Loved that more of their past is getting revealed and you can tell they’re slowly opening up to one another. And individually, I like both charact...
Continue to enjoyIf you enjoy Kate Locke, Long Live the Queen series, you should definitely enjoy this series! I enjoy the descriptions of post apoplectic London and the changes in society that has been brought about. Usually you read about our hero's stopping the things that would end the world, and in this it's about surving after the world has already ended and rising from its ashes! It may not be for everyone but certainly I find myself enjoying it! What I found in the first book as well as
Still enjoying this, we learn a little bit more about the world and the other areas but it could use a bit more page time imoThat ending tho....cryptic much?Looking forward to book 3
