2020 bk 326. I enjoyed this as much as the Painter's Nocturne Falls series. This is the first of the Chipping Cheddar, Maryland community. A small town set on Chesapeake Bay which is also a portal to other place. Normal people and the 'Others' live and work side by side. Eden Fury, an FBI agent, made a mistake and is returned to her home town of Chipping Cheddar as the FRI/FBM agent in chief. It is time for reconciliation, to come to terms with her growing powers, and to learn to live with her f...
Great Balls of Fury was a pretty fun cozy mystery to jump into. The characters were pretty likable and the overall mystery was fun to put together. There's just something about small town murders, or really small town books in general, that make things fly by. I think it's because everyone usually knows everyone and their business. So all the characters, main and side, were pretty funny throughout the book. There were some lines I wasn't expecting to be said and others that I'm so glad were. I a...
3/5 ⭐️ I enjoyed it, I’m curious to se eeh at else is in store for the series
I liked this book, more for my lower expectations going in then the actual book. It combined by love of the para world with my love of cozy mysteries. It had string female relationships and a lot of family dynamics. Although the sheer volume of characters being introduced was a lot and not much scope for anyone getting a chance to shine. However I will be picking up #2
Another great startTo a series I will binge read quickly! So interesting to see a different main character and surrounding cast! Love the mystery too.
Now this is my kind of cozy! Just the right amount of paranormal, hot guy, small town death, humorous/long-lost/rivalrous side characters, and mystery. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and never thought it too light or too heavy. A great goldilocks cozy, which can be extremely hard to find. I will definitely be picking up the next book in the series!
Talk about a dysfunctional familyWhat a great start. Not only demons, witches, druids, vampires and a half fury (and that's just her family) but a great read with some chuckles, some sarcasm and murders. A great look at the supernatural world that is zany, quirky and action packed but also has a core of romance running through it. Loved the characters, from her determination not to become a full fury to her niece's sarcastic put downs (and she's still a child). Her taking on vampire characteristi...
There were some very funny parts in this book, particularly blurting things out to the new chief of police when she was drunk. But the main character complains a lot about her family and that is far more her issues than them being evil.
Middle of the road cozy paranormal. I'll give it another couple of books to see if I continue.
Great start to this cozy paranormal mystery series about Eden who a Fury who is discovering her abilities.
Review FBM1I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I like Eden she snarky as hell which is awesome! Her family is extremely dysfunctional but loving at the same time in an odd way which makes no sense unless you read the book. Sawyer is somone I want to read more about it in the 2nd book. 3.5 stars!Happy reading!
