BLOODY NIGHT IN NOGALES: Mark Robichaud is leaving Mexico with two of the three outlaws he came here to capture. According to his prisoners, the third member of their party, a gunslinger by the name of Juan Ortega, never crossed the border. Instead, Ortega stayed at a saloon and pleasure house just outside New Nogales called “Dirty Pearl’s and Sweet Sue’s." In hopes of avoiding the rurales, federales, and el jefe de policia of a nearby pueblo, Robichaud doesn’t take the main route leading out of here. Rather, much to the strong objections of his prisoners, he and they strike out across the open desert. That might have been a mistake.
Not only do they encounter both rurales and federales, but a few Yaqui Indians he hadn’t figured on. If they survive the trip across the desert, he has another surprise for the two prisoners. After he deposits their carcasses with the New Nogales sheriff and his deputies for the night, he’s going to make a trip out to “Dirty Pearl's.”
THE HANGMAN: The Hangman has come to town and he is on the trail of four "dead men" who have temporarily eluded the noose by escaping from death row at Yuma Prison. He needs Robichaud's help. Although the hangman along with two Arizona Rangers will be going with him, the bounties on their heads will be going to Robichaud for his service. This could be a dangerous endeavor.
THE DEVIL’S ROAD TO EL PASO. Mark's old friend, Johnny, the black freighter wants him to accompany him on a trip to El Paso. Johnny's wagon is loaded with government-issued rifles bound for Fort Bliss. There's not an outlaw in the country who wouldn't like to get their hands on that load of cargo. When some finally do, the day is saved not by Robichaud but by someone he would have least expected. Mark is also going to use this opportunity to return home to see his wife and son.
