The Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter

Tom Hill
0/5 ( ratings)
Gunslinger Joe “Mad Dog” Murray and his partner shoot Stone’s horse out from under him. Murray’s partner turns back to see if they also killed Stone. That was a mistake on the gunman’s part; his last mistake. Murray might be an outlaw, but he’s not that dumb. He continues to run. Stone is now afoot but by sheer luck, he catches a stage traveling in the same direction as the fugitive. Once Murray is in custody Stone takes him to the nearest sheriff but the lawman doesn’t have a jail. Chaining Murray for the night, Stone takes care of a local problem. The next day, after a long ride, he deposits Murray with the Pueblo County sheriff’s office. He’s through with the varmint—so he thinks. Murray should be placed on a prison wagon going north. Somebody messed up the paperwork. Instead, the varmint is placed on a prison wagon going south. Now, Stone has been hired to accompany a lady in search of her father who has not return from his mine. They are traveling south as well. Murray is a slippery devil and just won’t stay where he’s put. The next time Stone encounters him, Murray is in the driver’s seat and the guards are locked inside the wagon. Stone has enough problems with other outlaws along the way but now he’s going to have to deal with “Mad Dog” again. Not once, but twice. Ride along with Jake Stone as he encounters ever-present danger and occasional romance in what was once the wild west frontier.
