Between the unique humor, the mold-breaking concept, and the fearlessness of the storytellers, this is a rock-solid return to form compared to the previous volume. Man, but I love Skullkickers.
This is one of three comic books I picked up because they had a talent hunt, where you could write a short story based on their characters. Unlike the Top Cow books and.... Damn, I can't even remember the name of the other book, Skullkickers was actually an enjoyable read. I am sure a cliche thing to say about this book is that Skullkickers is legitimately fun to read, unlike the majority of comics on the stands. It has moments where you will laugh out loud. I think I enjoyed the humor of the fi...
Boo! the dwarf is deadBaldy and elf aren’t as funnyAnd the ending is a bit of a cop out.But the multiple No 1’s are very funny.
Turtle Terrors, Horned Apes, and archetype taverns? Yep, it's all in here. The plot thickens!!! Now I'm going to eat some delicious melons!
This is pure fun comics. It's a very entertaining sword and sorcery book. You like DnD, you'll enjoy this book
I read the first three volumes for free online, so I bought this volume to support the creators, and never got around to reading it. There were references to past adventures, but knowledge of them is not necessary. This series is just a blast and, while I didn't love this as much as I remember liking the earlier comics (mostly because the dwarf is missing for most of the tale), it is still enjoyable. I found the whole series on Hoopla, so I will be going back through them soon :)
Madcap craziness from one of my favorite comics of the past few years. I read most of the earlier stories in single issues. But realized I missed the final three arcs of this series so looking forward to finding the remaining two graphic novels (softcover or may treat myself to the third hardcover). Silly fun for anyone who loves fantasy role playing games and comics.
This volume ends in a cliffhanger, but I'm already set on reading the whole series. No giant monster at the end, which is almost weird for this comic. There is a ton of laughs here, probably more than in previous volumes. The comic pokes fun at its own plot, character design, special effects and lore.Baldy and Shorty are split up after the ship they were on is destroyed in the last story arc. Baldy is joined by the elf that was their enemy initially and Shorty kinda dies, but is resurrected neve...
Just awesome as always. This book has a great story that also make me laugh out loud while reading it. This one doesn't have as much backstory or crazy reveals as the last one, but has some great action, and some very funny moments. Definitely comes highly recommended.
Finished this one some days ago as well. Very strange. Deals with the return of the Dwarf, and brings back both Kusia and the brethren of the quickly dispatched Ape with Horns from volume three. More mischief, more violence, more mayhem--plus magic, some intimations of immortality, more Thool, and more violence. So, there ya go!
Apes! Demons! An angry bartender! Fun.
The adventure continues as the characters move through dimensions and are joined by strange ape like beings.I picked this up because i have read the first 3 volumes and wanted to continue. I have lost track of what happened int he previous volumes, and have found that this one did not really hold my interest.I finished it because while I thought about abandoning it, I usually don't do that.I would recommend that if you read this, you should read all the volumes together. Alone, it is a bit confu...
