Another excellent volume. We get to see the team play dueling narrators again, we meet several more incarnations of Baldy and Shorty, and we get some fantastic storytelling through the main plotline and fun Rolf background. Good stuff.
Still super fun.
This was the best trade of Skullkickers I have read, thus far. It was the perfect blend of comedy, action and epic story. I want my own Wartyke (you will see when you read it) the back story that introduces it is like your typical fantasy background story, yet it is told in such a humorous way. The story gets even more hilarious with the addition of a Baldy and Shorty from another dimension. They almost work well together in battles, but are definitely funnier as a group. There is something heartwarming about the way Rolf's background played into the end of this tale. "Dwarven defender so super strong. Every dwarf in Dwayre knows this catchy song- wartyke, wartyke, wartyke, wartyke!!"And now for the grand finale. It's going down in the most ridiculously epic battle possible!!! /popcorn/
I did not enjoy this volume as much as the previous ones.
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Dueling narrators!!! Who thinks this stuff up?!
Super silly fun.There isn't much story, though.I want a Wartyke.
