No nation could develop without the schools that must churn out policies from deep researches of the intellectual assets in the human resources working therein. In the schools are produced intellectual resources and capital for the nations and institutions to grow in leaps and bounds. School business is a capital intensive business and a social service to boost the productivity of manpower for the nation and its industries. In view of the invaluable importance of schools, the foundation must be looked into as regards their challenges from the elementary to the tertiary institutions especially by the private operators. Author Amusa Abdulateef, as a child educationist and independent researcher based on his years of romance with school business and as an ex-teacher, an administrator, supervisor, housemaster and motivational speaker used to collate the numbers of challenges facing different private schools. Most of the faith-based private school could not demand for interest-based loans to finance their projects. The author clearly illustrated different ways to generate capital or boost the income for re-investment in the business. From his research, most of the schools under private control, are run with endowments, private money, contributions, charges, free donations from philanthropists and other kinds of money from different purse other than those from the public till. In some cases, some enjoy financial supports from institutions and individuals abroad. Author Amusa Abdulateef used to ask self ‘for how long would these schools live on the donations and charges from the individuals and bodies?’ and they must meet the required standard as enumerated in the documents of registration with the supervisory ministry of education within a stipulated time. With adequate funds, all instructional materials are paid, all staff members are paid at the right time, the business social responsibility is met, the taxes and other dues are paid to the coffers of the government and the product in pupils shall be of standard or quality. In his belief, just like others, Author Amusa Abdulateef is of the view and assurance that the private owners of social-service-based business aimed at adding values to the education, a social responsibility of the government, and are therefore patriotic contributors to the educationally advanced population in order to rid the nation of poverty of knowledge. In addition, it is a known fact that educated people have understanding of their rights and could be less tasking to rule over unlike the illiterate populace. In all business environments, the author believes that the private business owners, particularly the education business practitioners, are facing series of challenges that are dynamic in nature. These have been the obstacles to their business viability. Many schools fold up as a result of huge debts incurred in the course of managing the schools.For a business in education to survive the heat ranges from government overtaxing, graft of officials from the state managing departments and agencies, threats from the community where they situate, the unpredictable human factors in the reactions to issues, unhealthy rivalry among the practitioners, internal and external factors to the proprietors. The book sees the most important focus on making school business viable to produce right researches and the policies from quality manpower for the nations to have accelerated growth across the boards.
