...Not CITIZENS, but IDIOTS and TRIBESMEN: Build CITIZENS not idiots and tribesmen

Amusa Abdulateef
0/5 ( ratings)
In most poor and underdeveloped nations, by studies, verified and verifiable reports, nationalities are not citizens but idiots and tribesmen by the inhuman treatment by the state under selfish leaders at all tiers, institutions, organizations and others. The word ‘citizens’ stand for persons, male and female, regardless of distinguished features who are indigenes by birth and resident as recognized by the sovereignty law that must enjoy dignity of humans. Inner persons determine the outside personalities. Citizens make a nation as the legal residents who have the constitutional rights as enshrined in the national constitution. Nation makes citizens, who could be patriotic citizens, selfish idiots and unrepentant tribesmen. A true leader must ensure that citizens are made from the people before such could have good governance. A national constitution could be scripted into a few pages if the citizens are unambiguously defined, the rights of the citizens are unambiguously defined and the restrictions in their inputs to avert fellow human rights infringements. Among the citizens are sourced the leaders at all positions, social, economic, political, spiritual and others. If the wrong citizens emerge for the positions of powers, there shall be gross inefficiency in outputs. By the style of leadership, three types of people in the patriots or the citizens, the idiots and the tribesmen, are produced. All the citizens are products of homes, streets, schools, associations, communities, professional bodies and the likes. Media contents, events and the impact of leadership transform citizens into different classes by personalities and classifications by outward disposition to the national issues. Some who are born and trained by parents that are tribe and religion bigots would grow to become tribesmen. Many who are too self-centred and docile to issue except what is affecting themselves alone are referred to as the idiots. These are the idiots, tribesmen and the citizens. In some cases, it is believed the three are inborn traits by the personalities. In some cases, the religion and traditional precepts transform man into becoming any of the three. Author Abdulateef Amusa, through the use of analogies established the fact that children from different environments and parental background would be any of the three, idiots, tribesmen and citizens. The chances of churning out the three are high in the nation with clueless and corrupt leaders by the revelations in the book. Nations breed citizens if justice, equity and liberty are enjoyed by the citizens without fear and favour. Conversely, the idiots and tribesmen are the creation of the bad leaders in the politics, economy, religion and other communities. The idiots and the tribesmen are the nightmare of any nation while the citizens are the human assets nations cannot do without. What make the three? How do we know by their traits and actions? In the book, the manners at which the three emerges and how they can be effectively managed for the greatness of the nation are concisely treated. With the large number and influence of the citizens, the traits of tribesmen and the idiots would be a thing of the past. Would this be possible in the digital intelligence world? Would there be ability to correct the ills from the tribesmen and the docile and self-centred idiots? By the thought-provoking inputs in the intellectual masterpiece, there is need for the new constitution for the making of the needed citizens. This appealing book is focusing on seeking the synergy of the people regardless of status and age, race and religion, literate and unlettered towards making the best of the nation. In summary, without citizens in the nation, there cannot be development and progress in all facets. The material is an eye opener for the leaders of all thoughts.
