Despite not having a jump out and grab ya beginning, this little chapbook is still worth reading.Felix Renn just wants some eggnog to go with his whiskey so he can enjoy a lonely Christmas Eve drink. Instead he finds himself in the middle of another mystery; this one involving a series of ash angels that appear without any real explaination.I still love Ian's way with words. His ability to tell a great tale without a billion descriptive phrases is a refreshing change from some of the purple pros...
What can one say about "The Ash Angels"? The first sequel to "Temporary Monsters", TAA take Rogers's hero, Felix Renn, into quieter, more emotional territory. But don't let that description fool you -- Rogers's dialogue is as sharp and funny as ever.
