After Alec's betrayal, Lola realizes she can only rely on herself. She tries to get away but it doesn't work. Lola also realizes the bond is getting stronger. Lola is rescued by others she didn't think she would trust. Lola will find out about her past. She has made decisions about her future but she isn't sure she will be able to do.This book will drag you into the story. There some major twists and turns. You will learn more about Lola and her pack. I recommend reading this series.
Decent storyYou my dear need either a new editor or a couple of decent ARC readers to go through your work before you release. For a good deal of the book you kept mixing up Ace (bad guy) with Alec (possibly good guy). It was so distracting I could barely concentrate on the storyline. And that is just one glaring example. There's a multitude of spelling and grammatical errors that also contribute to this issue. There's a decent story buried there. Good luck
Wolf Untamed is the second book in the Moon Cursed series by Alexis Calder and it's was even better than the first, I don't know how that was even possible because the first book was great. Wolf Untamed picks up pretty much where Wolf Marked left off, with Lola in the hands of her old pack with Tyler trying to convince her to complete the mating bond. Between fighting off Tyler and trying to stop her old alpha from killing her, to making startling discoveries, and working on her shifting and per...
A good continuation from book 1.Lots of editorial mistakes that made me re read a lot of stuff to be able to understand it.There wasn’t much character development in all honesty. I felt like Malcom did develop his character quite a bit by opening up when it was mentioned in book 1 he never opened up to anyone. Kyle has become an ally but that seems to only be because of the alpha mark on Lola and his protector mark. I guess those marks are supposed to make you loyal but I can see why Lola has a
I was beyond excited for the release of this novella as I fell in love with the main character and totally craved the potential romance between the MC and her love interest. Not to mention, the cliffhanger from book 1 was enough to bring me to my knees so I was anxiously awaiting this release. While this book held my attention, I feel like I'm left with so many questions. It was full of action and had a couple of well-written steamy scenes, but I was left wanting more. Overall, this is an entert...
so many emotionsI had so much anger reading this book not forgiving Alec. I know there was some explanation but I felt like he wasn’t ever REALLY sorry for giving up Lola & especially since they beat and drugged her and almost forced the mating bond….. so I had some hostility there but towards the end of the book it started taking a better turn. I just don’t know how Alec didn’t realize all the abuse Lola had suffered in that pack before or after he gave her up. Onto book 3! I really like this p...
The nice thing about following an author from the start of their career is that you all of a sudden notice that they are getting better. I already enjoyed Calder's earlier work. She has a rich imagination and she knows how to write great and interesting characters, but I feel like the first book in this series took everything to a whole new level. I was therefore quite excited when BookSprout let me know that the second book was available! I couldn't wait to start reading. The second book starts
We have suspense and a little action. Yes there is errors in my copy, but it is an ARC copy. Hopefully before it is on sale it will be corrected. Lola is still trying to break her bond, but it is getting stronger. Alec and her when finally free she has many things to figure out. Now a new mystery and what will happen there. Will she ever break her bond? Now what is this about her dad? Why is everyone after her? Can she live through it allI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am
Another really quick read at 230ish pages, and very nearly as good as the first! Here I’m going to spoil the plot for you, so stop reading if you’re not into that:Lola is being held captive by her old pack, drugged up with the anti-shifting toxin that also makes her weak and lose awareness. Tyler wants her to submit to him to complete their mating bond. His dad Ace, the alpha, wants Tyler to just get on with it and do it by force. Tyler gives her a few days in captivity to come around to the ide...
Wolf Untamed is a solid read with smooth story progression. The story picks up where book one leaves off, and the reader witnesses the heroine's (Lola) journey to find her place. They are some elements to the story that are cringe-worthy. Still, these elements help readers to under the heroine's personality better. The male lead and the secondary males fulfill their purpose in the story (meaning the bad-guys desire immediate death, and the good guys exist only in grey areas). One drawback to rea...
This book was definitely not as good as the first one. PROS- keep looking forward to revenge- short fast readCONS- the first book had a simple plot. It was a rejected mate and bully book. Then this book added Fae, witches, magic, ruthless father, new brother, antidotes, etc. It is not simple anymore and made things more complicated than necessary. - don’t think she should forgive Alec for turning her over. He had many other options. Why not just get the money and then kill Tyler, Ace, etc? - Ale...
When our fmc tries to do the right thing and stop the wrongs that her pack is committing she gets caught and discovers a whole bunch of truths that have been hidden for years. This book picks up pretty much right after the first ends. We get to find out more about the shifter world that our characters live in and their motivations for doing what they do. Our fmc does not know who to trust or why she should trust them.An excellent follow up to the first book. A must read for all shifter lovers ou...
Definitely enjoyed this book more than the first as it had a bit more depth! In an ideal world it would be a 3.5 star review as not quite a 4 but definitely better than the first book which I gave a 3. The characters all grow which makes the story more likeable, there’s a less dramatic but still intriguing ending, some redemption arcs that are believable, overall an enjoyable book. Just wish the main character had a bit more oomph to her
I enjoyed this book and there is plenty to like about it but it was a bit clunky at times and I am not sold on the technique of not resolving issues from Book to Book. Every time it gets a bit dull, we pull out yet another chestnut with no resolution to the others in sight. Feels both slightly annoying and somewhat contrived. The book also desperately needs a proof read. Tons of minor issues.3.25 stars
