I am not sure where to begin when reading this book. Do i discuss how upset i was reading the book after learning the truth. Or am i happy with the book for actually showing me a side of Lan that explains his actions on so many levels. The authors have chosen not to take a traditional route with this plot. I was truly devastated about what happen. I could only think how dare they. While I understand that its a trilogy and not everything is going to be answered directly I really wanted them to. B...
The first book in the series was oh so melodramatic yet still rather addictive in the manner of most popular YA fantasy. Unfortunately, unlike the first book, I didn't enjoy this book enough to overlook its flaws. The lead characters are all rather bland and unlikeable and their romance is, as a result, unsurprisingly quite mehh. Plus, the convoluted plot alone wasn't enough to hold my interest so I ended up skipping forward to the end.
Bahhh that ending!!!! I can’t wait for book two!! What an adventure and I’m so sad it’s over for now! Just a bit longer for book 3!!
