Wow, just wowOk I love the mix of supernatural characters and how everything happened! I have to read the next book it was so good
I've read other Jen L. Grey books and enjoyed them, though they weren't that great. This one was just a whole new level of bad, every character was pretty unlikeable and the plot is downright weird and nonsensical but not in a good way. She randomly gets weird magical powers out of nowhere and there is no explanation. The romance is poorly developed too. I expected this book to be better than her previous books because it was published very recently, but i was very wrong.
1 idc stars I wasn’t a fan of any of the characters & I didn’t care for the plot. Her sudden ability to teleport & unexplained magic wasn’t adding anything to the story imo. She was a pushover.
So, you are the heir to a powerful alpha and he let's you go to college. Sounds amazing right? The only problems.... he makes you take someone you can't stand along with you, oh and humans are being drained close by, you really, really like this boy... but you know he's human. Just your typical college experience right?!This is a new series from Jen that is pretty good and has some amazing storyline happening. Can't wait to see what plays out
This is the first book in a new series "The wolf born trilogy" and follows Sadie as she starts university. I enjoyed the storyline immensely, from the angst to the drama, to the villainous moments and threats of violence. The characters were all quirky and unique. Sadie and Donovan stole the show of course, but Roxy comes a close second with her humourous comments.I would of loved a little more depth to the story, as this was a surface skimmer really, but that might come in the second book. All
Wow what a roller-coaster. I was so excited while reading this! There where some people I won't mention names who really got me mad! The friendships in this book where wonderful and the love interest ❤💕♥ fantastic. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
In my reread of this series, I actually really loved it. Whether or not you decide you want to read this, let me tell you a few things. Jen’s writing is like a cozy blanket, it makes you feel warm and comfortable. Reading this book made me feel that way. Also, if you decide that you don’t want to read this, well, I am not gonna say “sucks for you, your missing out on a good story!” That’s your opinion. You can look at my review and you can look at someone who gave it one star, it still wouldn’t...
Imagine this: you finally talk your overbearing parents into getting to go to college. They have one condition.... Brock goes with you. I was immediately engaged in this idea. This book reminded me of the Sun and Moon Academy set with Kristie Cook as they have a similar vibe to some of the other shifters. Sadie embarks on an entertaining discovery of self and what's going on around her. I loved it. Can't wait for more.
Hidden MateBy Jen L. GreySadie is thrilled to finally be able to leave her pack and her Alpha father who's treated her with contempt and disdain her entire life. The only way he agrees to let her go is if obnoxious and conceited fellow Alpha-heir, Brock, goes with her to keep an eye on her. When she can't keep her mind of the human, Donovan, she doesn't realize why.The book was really good. I loved all of the colorful characters from shifter wolves to vampires to fae. I really liked Sadie, the F...
I enjoyed the story as well as the characters.
Not bad. Some of the supernatural elements are too cheesy but w/e it's fun.Doesn't have a cliffhanger, but it is a definite "To Be Continued"
I'm a big paranormal shifters, fated mates, and all kinds of magic kind of gal. Love it all. And this was definitely a new twist on shifters. The story follows Sadie, a wolf shifter with a horribly bad alpha father. She gets permission to head to college and is ready to have some sort of freedom away from her dad who is constantly trying to take over all shifters and is determined to marry her off to the strongest shifter. Because to him that is all she is good for. Even college comes with its s...
Hidden Mate is the first book in a trilogy that must be read in order. So don't be surprised there is a cliff at the end. Sadie and Donovan's story is unique to the genre. Its rare to see the female know about supes and the male be human and has to learn as he goes. This one has unexpected twists that the reader won't see coming.Read to find out what happens when Sadie finds that her true mate is human and not all supes are as she was raised to believe.
*Audiobook review*I really enjoyed this book! It falls in the new adult/college paranormal romance category which I haven't read much of since I was that age, but I was still able to get into the story and care about the characters. Sadie & Roxy are great and I love the loyalty and friendship their share. I really like the relationships and connections between the characters (romantic, platonic, adversary, etc). I think the author did a great job of balancing the humor and the darker moments, an...
This one kept me guessing until the very end! I loved the conclusion and can't wait to see what happens in the second book. This is humorous, entertaining and absolutely unputdownable! Sadie and Roxy are the total bestie package. They have each other's best interest at heart. I love the inclusion of their new friends who brought even more to this book. Sadie has some self worth yet to still be discovered and you can see how she's ready to stand her ground. We see some very dominating male charac...
