FunFun first book in a new series! I’ll definitely be picking up the next one. Great quick read with fated mate romance.
So many things wrong with this book. I wanted to like it because the synopsis showed potential, but that potential was unrealized. The editing was poorly done. There were so many sentences that I had to re-read multiple times to get the idea. Some sentences were written in a way that ignored the previous sentence or scenario. Poor word choices abound. The plot is typical and the character setup is overdone- 4 friends and a hot girl with a sprinkling of supporting characters. Ugh. It’s fine if yo...
Mia got a shock when she was accepted to a school she never applied to. Once she gets there, she gets more surprises. I like this one. I'm a bit upset that I'll have to wait for book 2 though. This book is just getting started on the lies and corruption that is going on in the shifter leadership and has been happening. This is going to be interesting!
I loved shadow Mate, Mia and her brother max go to a college party and well things get out of hand. Next thing Mia a off to the wolf moon academy. She has already challenged the shifter heirs unknowingly. They try to make her miserable and our girl Mia has a back bone and will not stand down. I love her. You will hate Liam for awhile but you’ll understand him as the story goes on. Then I promise you’ll love him. So excited for book two!
Wow the characters in this book are amazing and intense. The main character Mia goes to a college party with her brother where she meet Bree. That is when she meets Liam and the other Heirs, and when she stands upto him things start to get twisty. First we see her get to go to a school she didn't even apply to, due to Bree but also we get to see more between Mia and Liam as he fights the bond and makes her time hell at the academy along with the other heirs.Until things start to come to light an...
So is this a bully romance?I mean I love the whole enemies to lovers thing, but this feels a little different. Especially when it is a group of guys bullying one girl. Just kind of weird. So I'm not sure that this is my thing. But that being said I did enjoy it. I mean it feels like a trashy paranormal book. The writing wasn't great and the dialogue had me gagging at some points, but it kept me intrigued and I wanted to know what was going to happen next. It felt a little like what you would fin...
My review would not be too helpful. I wanted an easy read to have so I could drift to sleep. And then I got mad because this was too simple (It was sloppy enough to anger me, but still the proper amount of “not that bad” to stop me from deleting the book on the spot)And now I am writing a post on violence and depictions of turbulent mating bonds in these kinds of romances.I am not a hater.I won`t throw stones as I am well aware of the glass layer under my feet. However, I`ll not let this opportuni...
DNF At 32%The synopsis says there are "instances of bullying" in this novel. The definition of instance is "an example or single occurrence of something" according to Oxford Languages. Now please explain to me how something that should theoretically be happening maybe 2 or 3 times (because the word is plural in the synopsis) throughout the novel becoming something that happens Every. Single. Time the heroine is in proximity to the so-called hero. It truly feels like I was misled with regards to
2 stars. I’m not continuing the series. It took me 2 attempts to finish. I DNF’d it the first time @ 30 or 40%. I ended up coming back to it & finishing it bc it was the only thing I had loaded on my kindle & had no internet service. Eventually I just stuck it out but I’m not a fan of the love interest or the story. The characters I like are her brother & her 2 guy best friends.
Mia is a strong main character without being overpowering. Liam is an alpha, bad boy along with his friends as well as being heirs to the main houses. While there were no real big surprises or reveals the story was steady paced. I liked Mia's choice of friends. There is some bullying in this book by both guys and girls.
This was not horrific...Still pretty annoying though, but that's because I don't think I like the love-interest-bullys-mc trope. The "big reveal" was quite obvious but I think that was purposefully so. It was a nice quick book to read to appease my constant thirst for werewolf books so I can't really complain that much 🤷♀️
This is absolutely entertaining and unputdownable! Liam and Mia are deliciously delightful and with the push of the mating bond being overbearing, watching these two try to resist the pull is just so compelling. I think these two opposites are phenomenal and I can't wait to see just what they'll accomplish together. Jen L Grey is such a riveting author! From the first paragraph on, I couldn't set this aside. The characters are no nonsense and there is just so much going on here. Multiple intrigu...
Great story. Great characters. Looking forward to the next.
Generously giving this 3 stars.I'm very conflicted on how I feel about this book. The flow was very erratic, at times the flow almost had me quitting because I was so bored & disinterested. The world building is limited, I think part of it was because of the mystery behind the story, but I still felt a bit lost, not even able to determine if this was set in the future, or current, or what. There was also a lot of conflict about werewolves in general, like mixing into the human population in scho...
