Yeah, this was a roll of the dice. I take longshots sometimes when the mood strikes and this was one. It paid off this time, at least enough that I'll probably get the next in the series.Raven is a werewolf in some backwater that has a sexist packhole in charge whose son has been given, well, her. So they've been together for a couple years and he treats her like a possession, kind of. I mean, he doesn't order her around so much as he just assumes she'll fall in with his "suggestions". And I hat...
I'm honestly a bit irritated that I liked this as much as I did. These are the types of books I read as a teenager and I so thought I was done with it, but it unfortunately doesn't seem to be the case. I definitely liked this book and I'm giving it a 4 only because- I'm not sure to be honest. Just the quality I suppose, but the quality is also why I like this book so I'm not sure how to rate it exactly. There are undeniably quite a fair amount of flaws but I seem to have overlooked that and despi...
Raven has spent her whole life being told her place in the back, which is basically only to support her boyfriend, the future alpha, and to never want anything for herself. Well, the human half of Raven may be tolerant of the idea, but her wolf side wants to be free and in charge. When a scout for the elite supernatural academy shows up at her high school graduation, the entire pack is shocked that he came to recruit Raven. Raven has an opportunity to get out of her place in the pack and be some...
I can't help but fall for these characters. Raven begins her story right before graduation in a dead-end relationship with the alpha of her pack. But as the story moves along, she gains strength she never knew resided inside her and discovers secrets about her background she wouldn't have believed had she not discovered them. As we watch her relationship with each of the characters introduced unfold, we discover the layers she has kept hidden as she abided by the teachings she'd received since s...
Loving this story so far!I love paranormal academy stories. And This one is soo good so far. I really like the characters. My favorite I have to admit though is Cole he is hilarious! He and Jess should totally be a thing haha. I also love the fact that there’s fated mates and that it is very rare. Raven found hers which is awesome. As for That ending, it definitely left me wanting more. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Raven’s story. If you are a fan of academy stories, then you’ll
This is a fantastic read, one that once you pick it up you will not be able to put it down. The world building is incredible, the storyline addictive and the characters kick ass! There’s mystery and intrigue, romance and friendship, snark, hilarity and sass and I cannot wait to read the next book!
No plot, all high school drama...But the writing was still engaging. If Jen Grey could add some plot into the next installments, this could turn into a good one.2.5 ☆
I think this maybe my favorite book from this author yet!!! Raven has no idea why the prestigious academy has picked her, but she knows that she doesn't want to leave.I absolutely adore Jess, and I can't wait to learn more about this sassy girl. And the guys? Each and every one of them is swoon worthy in their own way. I need more please
1st reread: All I have to say is this is the type of book that is enjoyed the second time you read it. You pick up on SO MANY more details of the pull between Raven and Rage and it's amazing. And Cole? LOVE HIM.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆Call me surprised.I FLOVED this paranormal, shifter, high YA romance. Raven was fiesty and strong, Rage...I FLOVED him too. Cole was a hoot, Jess was sweet, and Damien was protective.I like that this isn't a reverse harem (that I do like) but rather a true mate story that also...
GrippingI couldn't put this book down. It was gripping and funny as well. Brilliantly written . Can't wait to start the next book. 😍😍😍
Raven is graduating and theres a recruit thats coming for her boyfriend. Only the strongest alphas can go to his school. Whe don't understand why they are talking to her. What will she do? What will her pack do? What will her boyfriend do? Who are these guys and why are the girls jeaulous? Will she ever be one with her wolf?I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bloodshed Academy is my first book by Jen L. Grey. The blurb is what attracted me, and even though it was an enjoyable read, I was a bit underwhelmed in the end.Summary:Raven Wright is proud of her shifter heritage, but she’s always felt that something is missing. It may be that she’s a female and was raised to believe a she-wolf couldn’t be ranked or it may be that she’s always felt a disconnect with her inner beast. She’s not sure, but with high school graduation approaching, she’s unsure of
This book was nothing what I thought it would be it definitely surprised me. It did start kinda slow for me but definitely picked up in the middle and I flew through it! I hated that Raven struggled with not feeling connected to her wolf and I couldn't imagine how that would feel. When she got recruited for the academy its like her life is just starting. Raven faces many challenges and you watch her grow and she stands up and its like she comes into herself. I can't wait too see what happens nex...
