Lillie is a master at eerie storytelling. Everything in this collection creeps just outside the range of the lamplight. Personal favorites from this collection - In Loco Parentis (holy creeptastic batman!), Mother Sylvia, Alice-with-a-Y. With that said, every story is wonderful and gorgeous. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
I just finished up The Cuckoo Girls by Patricia Lillie. I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. This isn’t the first time I’ve read Lillie’s work. Lillie's "Mother Sylvia" was the highlight of Nightscript V for me, so I was keen to check out her collection.The title story has her characteristic light touch.
