An excellent comics anthology. Stories and art are stellar, and from a visual standpoint, I love the choice to create a sense of visual unity by making the whole thing black and white with one green as a spot color. Definitely worth your time!
So many of these stories are, at their heart, about hope, growth, resilience. I love this book so much. I was blown away by it, with the stories so full of heart, and the illustrations incredible. I cannot recommend enough this book and the amazing writers and artists who created the worlds within.
Loved this so much; Elements: Fire was also great, and this followup anthology brings more! (They can be read independently of each other; they are short story comic anthologies.)Want to write about it a bit later in more detail, but in the meanwhile, here is a round of squeeing :)____Source of the book: Bought with my own money (I was a fundraiser backer)
OMG!!!!! Love it
This is a truly fantastic anthology. The stories were brilliant. The art was phenomenal. I enjoyed every bit of it. It introduced me to new artists. I highly recommend this. Taneka Stotts is a wonderful editor and artist. Everyone should try to get their hands on this.
A great follow-up to the first anthology, Elements: Fire. This Earth volume comes out of the ashes, the salt, and the grit with stories of quieter strength, of rebuilding after the devastation, and thriving afterwards. Love the highlight of green being the only color throughout (the rest is tones and tints). Also enjoyed the immersive stories and the concept sketches in the back.
A really cute and sweet anthology focused on relationships between people and nature :’)
I just love love LoVE everything about this anthology
A stunning anthology that allows for a wide interpretation of what "Earth" can mean as a theme. The use of a single spot of color throughout really lets the art shine with the text and create something that feels both other-worldly and exactly like home.
Beautiful!! I love the styles of art in this book and the use of the color as theme-ing throughout. Really lovely a joy to read. Some elements of death of loved ones if that is a problem for you. Otherwise great for adults and kids.
