Ugh. Another could have been good but settled for ok read. A detective is sent undercover to a small town where people keep going missing and the police seem to not be effectively solving the crimes. She falls for one of the locals, who seems to good to be true. So you can guess what happens...predictable. There were a few good moms but overall it was underwhelming.
This woman is supposed to be an FBI agent?? Oh, my!From the opening scenes, when she totally bungled an undercover operation and let her emotions get the better of her, she struck me as a very inept, immature and not too intelligent agent. Her actions in Feathered Nest in another undercover operation did not disabuse me of that opinion whatsoever. Again, she let her emotions control her and bullied her way into the investigation in a manner that was guaranteed to arouse the suspicions and ire of...
This book follows Emma Griffin. This is the first mission she’s had still she totally fucked up the other one and was put on desk duty for six months. She goes to a small town in Virginia called Feathered Nest where over the past two years (or more) eight people have disappeared or were found dead. Emma has been sent in to go undercover and figure out what happened since the local police are refusing help from the FBI. But in the first five minutes of her being in the rented cabin, she rented a
Exceptional Thriller ! This might be the only murder/thriller on my favorites list . I won't go on about it for fear of a minor spoiler . Not a great book to help with your insomnia .
This was a ridiculous book,,,I love a Good crime/serial killer book with a female lead,,,,this book is Not !!FBI agent Emma Griffin is a mess. the book opens with her completely ruining an undercover operation because she cannot control her emotions. She follows up this " Inept Female" scenario by developing a romantic relationship with a lifelong serial killer within hours of arriving on the scene. She continues to prove that she is completely unable to be an FBI agent by wandering the woods af...
Mixed bagThis wasn’t a horrible book, but I don’t think it’s a great book with interesting twists and turns. In the middle. - the main character, Emma, is an FBI agent who Is like a bull in a china shop. She rushes through her cases, doing her own thing, which I might add is not clever at all.- She ends up on another case and she’s just as bad. Giving orders, pushing her way into an investigation even though she’s undercover and supposed to be a regular citizen.- I could figure out who the kille...
Engaging story, but felt like the author has little knowledge or experience with the FBI to make this more legitimate feeling.Info dump from villain's monologue was a bit over the top, as well.
This book is terrible. The plot is simple, no surprise and the MC is probably the worst FBI agent on Earth because nothing makes sense. Two stars cause it's a fast read.
