OMG I don't think I've laughed so hard at a book in a long time. The heroine is a total trip with her attitude and the way the says things. The story is something that grabs you and you don't want to leave. This book has witches and shifters and lots of comedy relief. It's a quick read that's makes you want to know more about this kooky witch. I loved it!
LOL. What! I can't even.. Too fast. Needed More depth. The heroine was so freakin shallow i wanted to zap her ass into shape! Sheesh.Everything was so fast paced.. i was jumping all over the place. Not cool.I may or may not continue the series.. or this author for that matter... We'll see ;-)
This review is from: Switching Hour: Magic and Mayhem Book One (Kindle Edition)This book is amazeballs. I loved all the fun quirky shifters and the sassy witch Zelda! The story will keep you laughing and entertained for hours and leave you wanting more! Twists and turns and surprises will keep you guessing as things get hairy lol no pun intended as Zelda finds her place in Asshacket, West Virginia. Must read if you love PNR or comedy!
“Switching Hour, Magic & Mayhem Book 1” (SHMM) was written by the same author as the very entertaining “Hot Damned” series. Although it was published a year after the four “Hot Damned” books, SWMM sounded like a rough draft of what could have been an entertaining book. Perhaps the author wrote this in high school and published it years later without reviewing or editing it. SHMM is not lesfic, nor does it have the witty dialogue, banter and snarky thoughts of Astrid and her friends. If you’ve re...
This took me so much longer to read than expected. You go for a quick read and then life gets in the way... Anyway again Robyn Peterman made me laugh, but I'm starting to find some of her jokes repetitive, but that might be because I just read her Hot Damned series recently, and the jokes are still fresh in my mind, but I still enjoyed this. I'm not going to say this is some great read or anything, but it was funny and had me laughing like crazy at times, and it was a good quick read! I do have
This was a romp, and a fun one. It's also way shorter than I expected, not least because excerpts for the next book start at the 66% mark. That is not an estimate. This is kind of an establishment story in that we learn where Zelda comes from (in the sense that she starts out an immature, shallow hedonist with very low self-esteem). And we see her mature and learn to find something worth living for rather than the simple pleasure-seeking she has done until this point. But that's much more serious...
I suppose this book had a few very sporadic decent moments, but overall it was alarmingly bad. It was just plain dumb. The writing wasn't all terrible... the problem was that the author was trying too hard to be funny and sassy.Unfortunately, in this case it just came out sounding selfish and immature. Her attitude and the situations she was put in just felt like middle school/high school melodrama from kids just figuring out they've got a taste for it. I originally picked up this book because I
Rating: 4 starsCover: okaishTrigger: NoneShort review: I think this is going to next best read - or more like the next favourite series. None too serious, talking cat, self-absorbed witch, werewolf lover, talking animals - shifters all right up to my ally. Review in image/gif: No, no, it's like this -Recommended: YesAftermath: (possible spoilers) While you can read it as standalone and there are no cliff hangers, not all issues are resolved as well. I'm guessing this is going to be one of those
Welcome to Robyn's newest paranormal phenom. Zelda a self absorbed witch, who is getting sprung from magical jail. She has to complete a mission before Halloween or the poor girl will be turned into a mortal . Which is a fate worse then death, in he opinion. So off she heads in a kia and her not so dead cat. Oh did I mention she ran over her cat. Yeah squished him good . So off to West Virginia she goes with no idea of what she is suppose to do. To beat it all she ends up being the mate of a hot...
