i watched a couple of episodes of the web series and i didn't finish so i forgot how adorable this is! omg and there's plush puppycats on amazon, i want one!
For those who are already fans of the show Bee and Puppycat this comic does not disappoint, the characters are true to themselves and the plots are fun, short and sweet. It definitely pairs well with the show, and I recommend watching the show (it's available on youtube!) before reading this, just because the characters are already established and the comic doesn't really go into back story.
cute and quirky
Cute but kind of boring. The art is great, though, and I'm sure things will get more exciting as the series progresses.
A fun surreal little comic that has fantastic art and colors. Love it!
WHAT DID I JUST READ?! So short. So cute. So addicting. Excuse me while I read ever part available to me RIGHT NOW!
it's aight. the art is cute
The first issue is pretty setting up things up for the upcoming issues. It does give the same feelings I do when I watch the episodes, so this comic is a good companion to the web show. Will continue reading. Reading this off of Scribd.
What did I just read? The art is super cute tho.
Eh, cute art style, nothing special though. Just a bunch of stories bunched together. Art gets a 10/10, but content gets a 5/10.
I couldn't always follow what was going on but I like the characters and I'm guessing the point is that it's a bit weird.
Bee and Puppycat has a big uwu energy
Meh.
Purrfect
Wasn't a big fan of this first issue of this cutesy comic book. I'm not a big fan of adventure time either, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised as the creator of this also works on Adventure Time. It was cute and had a few redeeming characteristics, but it wasn't for me. The story just seemed so completely vapid, like it was missing more than half. The art style is ok, definitely cutesy, almost an Americanized manga in a way, and very colorful, just not my cup of tea.
3/5 stars for Bee and PuppyCat, Vol. 1 (Bee and PuppyCat #1-5)~ I'm a huge fan of Bee and Puppycat and Adventure Time, both of which have comic spin-offs. But like some Adventure Time comics, Bee and Puppycat, Vol. 1 just didn't have all the laughs and shenanigans of the show. It only took me about 15-20 minutes to read and the stories felt really disjointed, just randomly moving from one scenario to the next, probably because each was done by different people. It's a cute novelty item to have f...
I love the artwork, but the story (what story there is) isn't very engaging. It's weird, abstract, humorous, but not really structured (at all) in a way I enjoy. I pushed through the first 4 issues to see if it went anyplace or got more interesting as it went on, but sadly it just bored me. Still I adore the art style and will likely still get prints of it. Wish the story was as good, for me.
This is basically a story about what life was like for me in my twenties, except without the awesome puppycat: lots of naps, delicious snacks, the perfect sandwich, cute clothes with bees on them, and lots of temp jobs (except not to other planets). This reminded me of my favorite part about Kiki's Delivery Service: Kiki and Gigi making pancakes and going on adventures. Exploding from cuteness!!
Cute and it was actually done by Natasha Allegri. It had the same feel to the series, same artstyle of course, and it seemed to be keeping in with the original story. Like just another adventure with the titular characters.
