I love Susan Mallery. I've read many of her books, including all of the Fool's Gold books. I pre-ordered this one and was very excited about the new series. Until I started reading it. And ohmylanta I did NOT like it. It had very little of the sass and humor I find in her other books. Most of the characters set my teeth on edge. This story just did not grab me. While it was very well written 9 (after all it is Susan Mallery) I never identified with any of the characters. I will be interesting to see what other think.
