From paleolithic footprints at Happisburgh to the 20th century Forum in Norwich, this excellent book covers each period in between with sections covering castles, houses, saxon remains, roman remains etc and gives a history of each with great photos. Advises of accessibility and further reading. My rating would be 10 stars if I could. Please please can someone write one about Suffolk!
An excellent newly (2022) published glossy-paged and lavishly illustrated tour of 100 places which tell the history of Norfolk.Each of the locations are either open to the public or if not easily possible to view. Each is covered over typically 1-4 pages (normally 2-3) with aerial (and other) photography, often maps and diagrams, access details and further reading.
