This is a book I probably wouldn't have picked up if it hadn't been featured on First Reads. It was an interesting mystery and fast paced, though not necessarily a unique plot. It wasn't a bad suburban murder mystery and it definitely had a lot going on. I liked the family dynamics, especially Andy's relationship with his dad. This was my first read by Joe Hart and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a tension filled journey into multiple deaths in a neighbourhood called "The Loop". I was drawn into this story right away and the short chapters had me flipping the pages in anticipation of what was going to happen next. I was surprised by the ending, in a really good way and I loved having a novelist as protagonist. All the characters are feel like real people and they behave in a way that feels authentic. T
