The subject matter for this issue absolutely enrages me like no other. Spreading and believing the false flag and crisis actor school shooting conspiracy theories is beyond evil in my eyes. That being said, this series has me enthralled ... but I feel like I need a moment. I'm legit upset after reading this.4.5
I said it before and I’ll say it again, this book is creepy as hell. Literally gave me the chills. When I finished it, I looked at my arm and had goosebumps. No cap.
Yo this series is turning out to be really a standout. Highly recommend!
The art is still terrible but the story is ok but not ground breaking...the hook hasnt hit yet
Not the best first mission...but a really good comic.
Wow, so intense and tragic.
This one struck a nerve. How interesting and how thoughtful.
Janes Tynion May be the hottest comic book author right now.*I guess you could call this issue political... I guess it depends upon how you use or associate that word. It certainly seems timely. In this issue, it opens up with allusions to Alex Jones, at least how I interpreted it. After that, the issue continues to get deep, delving into school shootings and what are called, “false flags”. One thing that I compliment James Tynion on is that it does seem that he’s approaching this with empathy.
This issue pissed me off. It's a commentary of something awful and very real - when a conspiracy theory becomes dangerous. The example used in this issue strikes a nerve on a personal level. We all love Area 51 memes or Bigfoot. This? Tynion grabs you by the throat with Sandy Hook, Alex Jones, etc. Reading is supposed to make you feel something, right? I'm angry. 5 stars.
4.5 Stars, excellent.
It's not all flat earth fun and political games, folks. We talking about school shootings today.
Turning out to be an audacious series, perhaps.
Creepy story! So relevant to our current social and political arenas. Artwork is intense and almost dreamlike.
Phenomenal issue. The publisher solicitations really don't do this title justice, based on those I nearly skipped this series but I'm glad I didn't. What could've so easily been a cheap tacky exploration of the American psyche ends up being a thoughtful and complex affair on topics both very real and absurd coupled with some absolutely fantastic artwork (I wish more publishers would branch out to other artistic directions). It's early days so the series still might come unstuck but if Tynion can...
