I feel sick to my stomach giving 2 5-star ratings in one week but this issue is just too good not to. Tynion has really drawn from people's willingness to believe for this issue. If enough people want to believe in conspiracy theories and therefore do, how will the world unravel? Read the issue and find out how the DoT fights against that!
X-Files wannabe with so much experimental art that is almost unreadable.
This could have been a cool series but Martin Simmonds's art ruined this for me. I couldn't tell what the fuck was going on. This may as well have been written in prose. The big two page spread reveal was completely lost on me. It looked like some scribbled lines on the page. I'm actually angry at how bad the art was because this is the kind of story I love.
Utterly enjoyable.
This is just the first issue of the series but man was it an interesting one! I definitely plan on reading more. I am moving past the point where I buy the single issues (also known as floppies) because I hate having to wait a whole month (or more) to continue the story. Yesterday at the comic book store, I asked one of the great guys working there for some standalone stories because I'm tired of the dragged out stories that take years to complete. I want my experience to be more like reading a
The was pretty cool. There were some things in here that definitely makes you ant to read the next issue.
Strong and compelling first issue! Interesting take on conspiracy theories and the art freakin rocks!
الحقيقة ما يصدقه الناس ويصرون عليه..فيتغير العالم بناء لذلك..ولكن هل يحق لأحد إدارة الحقيقة؟
Went for the single issue #1 for a taste of what I was waiting for, and Holy Shit. The art is absolutely breathtaking, the writing instills a fierce sense of dread and discovery, and the plot so far is... wow.Wow. Don't miss this.
The story here is very topical for today. Why are people susceptible to conspiracy theories? How do they benefit? What’s at the core of it? These are questions I’ve pondered with our current state of things (flat earthers, Covid vaccine microchips, Black people special powers activating on the 21st). It’s interesting to take this all a step further and question what happens when enough people believe. But this art. This is pure chaos. I cannot process anything I’m looking at on the page. This sty...
HOLY SHIT I KNOW I'M LATE BUT PLEASE READ THIS COMIC!!!I didn't know our boy had this kind of story in him, but yoooo, this is the real deal
Conspiracy Theories; yes please! This is a great option for those who love history, conspiracy theories, government and alternate realities. A great beginning to what I'm sure is going to be a fantastic series. Artwork is spot on with its storyline.
This is going to be fun. Can I give 6 stars?
If you ever like following conspiracy theories, how they manifest, and what nutjobs follow them - This series is definitely for you. I like the ideas in this and I can't wait to see how the MC handles the job that was given to him. Don't want to spoil it so I'm not going to say anything else. I would have given it 5 stars if the art inside wasn't so... disorienting. Is the only way I can describe it. such a series should have had a more precise yet darker style - as the covers suggest. Most of th...
I love the sophistication of the elite presented. As I imagined the people controlling the world to have an aura that is both pompous and evil the writer Tynion creates a vibe of this with subtle clues. Cole the main character is not your typical FBI agent as he has mentioned twice to having a husband. This left me wondering why James Tynion added this to the characters background. I speculate that it’s just a ploy to get the LBGT community to support this comic series in which case..why? At thi...
The art is AMAZING!!!!!!! The story line is fantastic.I love conspiracy theories so this is right up my alley. The art is perfect for the type of story we are reading. I love everything about it. It captures you from the very start and keeps you glued to what is going to happen next. I highly recommend this comic.
Oh man, this is going to be a trip. It's already just out there and crazy.
Art seems to be hit or miss for a lot of folks. Personally I find the art incredible and well suited to the story. Super excited to read more of this series, has such great potential!
How should one rate a comic book? One cannot only pay attention to the story and ignore the imagery - for a picture is worth a thousand words. But one also cannot ignore the story just for the sake of the drawn art. And so I find myself torn by rating each separately and then averaging the marks together - and that is how this earns a solid 3 stars. The story is great! It’s had be turning pages excited to see what was coming - what was the big reveal. And oh boy is it something!!! But the art??
Fairly boring. This book was over-hyped. The typical inaccurate Leftist stereotyping of conservatism with the overtreaded ground of conspiracy theories as its foundation. What was intended as a twist at the end of the book did nothing to salvage it.
