Good Very interesting and cool I would read it a again or read something else or someone else can read it
Normally I wait for the trade before I review, but I just want to let everyone know now that this is their chance to get in on the beginning of a great run. White Knight was good but not amazing. But this book is off to such a great start. This is the plotline Scott Snyder wasn't capable of writing. Definitely off to a great start. If it takes a turn for the worst I'll come back and let you know. It does play off of the first story but it's not a must if you don't want just read the jist and you...
Well, I certainly didn't expect this. Why doing sequel and immediately after to a probably the most refreshing Batman comics in the last 20 years is beyond me. Truth to be told, I ain't read them much, but it's not like the competition is big. Anyway, we again have some cults here (and my brain is thinking" We just had them in Damned"( Joker escapes from prison once again after a struggle to shrug off Jack Napier personality off. Batman ofcourse plays the game. And another chapter in tireless Ba...
Best Batman comic book single issue ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanna day Sean is great writer and seriously has created a masterpiece like he really he truly explore the normal part of joker I know that killing joke did this but they really show he was crazy or somewhat but Murphy is has truly captured his master work I highly suggest to pick this up
Murphy, you devil! You done it again! Laffy Arkham in the wood, eating children when he could... ...underneath a moon of blood, swept away before the flood. JOKER IS ON THE LOOSE ...if he was the good guy, what does make me? Jack Napier. the White Knight, exposed the sins and corruption of Gotham City, dragging The Batman in the process, leaving the Dark Knight with doubts about his work done in his beloved city......but Jack Napier is no more (at least for the moment) and The Joker
I only read this for a reading challenge prompt (graphic novel/comic book). I am not a DC fan, but surprisingly, I didn't hate this. I *almost* want to get #2 to see what happens next.
A very interesting beginning to this. The art really elevates the story and enjoyment of reading this. I'm here for the whole run of this. Sean Murphy has hit a nerve in Gotham. I'm looking forward to the next issue.
Batman is a difficult arena to write in if you want to create something that feels new, but not too out there. Azrael will fit well with the challenges this Batman storyline faces.
Great first issue! I'm very interested in seeing what's next, I'm so behind on this series!
“Batman: White Knight” was the most engaging Batman story of the past several years, both well written and superbly drawn. It contended with serious modern subjects, like race, gender and inequality. All the recent criticisms about the chauvinism and elitism of the caped crusader were brought to the frontline, although not taken to their ultimate consequences. It was Batman’s Watchmen moment. When I read about “Batman: The Curse of the White Batman”, I became both thrilled and worried. The risk
It’s okay. It reads just like another Batman story by the numbers. This has all been done before in better stories.
Not sure why I never read the White Knight series, but this one (it's suppose to be a sequel) had me want to go back and read them. This one is really good, dark, mysterious and have a promising face off! I'm in for sure!
The sequel to the amazing White Knight series. This issue brings to light a new plotline mixing Gotham's folklore and the Gotham's present. Where will this unusual adventure take us? Who knows. This issue is decent. The story so far is strange and maybe it's just me, but it felt a little bit too plot convenient in a couple of places. Regardless, I hope this volume will be as good as the first series.
Immediately loved this. The graphics, the storyline, the mystery .... probably the best graphic novel I've read in a long time. Can't wait to track down the rest of the volumes to see how it ends.
Delving into a new past for Gotham, I’m intrigued as to where this will rely on existing lore and where it will beach off!
What Sean Murphy did in his earlier White Knight to Joker, and his re-interpretation of a semi-reformed Jack Napier and Harleen Quinzel, he does now in Curse of the White Knight to Azrael and Az-bat, taking a similar approach to re-inventing Jean Paul Valley, a holy warrior from the Order of St. Dumas. A newly escaped Joker decides to pit Bruce and Jean Paul, revealing a dark secret as old as Gotham itself. Batman fans will remember Jean Paul and Azrael as key figures in the series Knightfall, w...
Fantastic deep dive into a new take on what happens when the Joker and Batman switch places
Gritty, brooding, and dark, all the things Batman should be.
Missed the Napier plotSo now I'm going to have to go back and figure out what they're referencing here. Artwork was very good.
