A collection, as a whole, that certainly stirred my imagination; in fact the book started to OWN my imagination, and I was relieved to be given an excuse to try rebelling against it towards the end!The above is quoted from a review that is either too long or too impractical to post here. I normally read from front to back as laid out by the editor, but for this one I jumped straight “Some Girls Wander By Mistake” by Nadia Bulkin. The confluence of one of my favorite writers using that title that I have to assume is drawn from the Sisters of Mercy album. This story is effective at using erasure of female victims as the ghosts in the story.
