Gérard and Margi Moss switched their “normal” life routine for some adventure flying in a small single-engine plane. They had already flown this aircraft around the world in a 32-month odyssey in 1989-1992, primarily in the southern hemisphere. In 1997, they decided to explore the American continent and, for nine months, targeted the cardinal points of the Americas. Once again starting their journey from Rio de Janeiro, where they lived, they dipped down to the southernmost point in Chile, and then headed up to Northern Canada, passing through the westernmost point of the continent in Alaska. The journey ended with the sunrise in Eastern Brazil. An exciting voyage, with its fair share of risks counter-balanced by numerous new friends made along the way and the incredible landscapes over which they flew.
