I kept waiting for the funny - and then the book was over.
Too funny! Good for what ails you
I heard myself laughing aloud, sometimes very loudly, as I read this book. The story is about Ginger Kanadoo, realtor, a 59-year-old woman trying to make it through a tough year, and the insanity of total optimism in a terrible career. From her daughter Harvest's point of view it's probably about the horror of having a mother who will do anything, anything, to make a sale (and make you do it with her).It was fun to read, amusing even during the transitions from one laugh to the next, and I zippe...
This is silly. But the teenage girl is a great character. Her mother is a caricature beyond belief. It's a cross between Bubbles in Trouble and Glen Garry Glen Ross.
