Materielle Mediationen Im Franzsisch-Deutschen Dialog

Materielle Mediationen Im Franzsisch-Deutschen Dialog

Vittoria Borsò
0/5 ( ratings)
The changing role of materiality first became apparent and perceptible through F.-J. Lyotard and T. Chaput's legendary exhibition Les Immatriaux at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Where are we today, 30 years later?

The essays in this volume thematize the most diverse forms of materiality, including the materiality of production or the relationship between production and materiality. Beyond art, film and literature, the essays also focus on the body, rituals and thought patterns as well as the processual in historical epochs. The authors of this volume show that we can anticipate a longue dure, a long life of service of materiality, which thus far has only been given peripheral attention in the Western philosophy of science's dominant discourses.
