3,5/5. Not so sure yet... Everything has high and low, like the illustrations, the arts style is original and sometimes there are amazing, but other... they look sketchy. The story is very confusing, I think this is the way they want it be, but at some point, we will need to understand and see where this is going, if not then isn't confusing... just gibberish!
Another promising issue. This issue shows us the effects of the gas on batman, which is interesting, as well as the story of this miniseries.
I’ll confess I’m still having a spot of trouble getting into this series. I’m not sure if I’ll continue it – though I still maintain that it has a lot of potential. I think the problem, for me at least, is that they’re trying to do too much all at once. The end result is a lot of jumping around and a scattered feeling story.
5 stars for the art alone. Time and again I found myself just stopping and drinking in and appreciating the imaginative illustrations. I uttered the words “that’s so cool” at least 10 times as I noticed amazing little details or unique concepts i never would have expected. I’ve always been a fan of Jones’ artwork, but he’s outdone himself here. Can’t wait for the next issue!
