A wonderful account of memories from her youth and her numerous travels all over the world. It offers a glimpse into court life not only in Spain, but also in England during the latter part of Queen Victoria’s reign. Visits to Germany with Kaiser Wilhelm II, The Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II. , the Scandinavian countries, Italy and France. She had strong democratic and socialistic views and she analysed the governments in the countries she visited. It makes for extremely interesting reading, and is written in a colourful and entertaining style.
