A team-up that you never thought possible, Conan and Wonder Woman! This issue was mainly setup but I enjoyed it. Gail Simone is my favorite comics writer and she provides a swords and sorcery tale that feels right. I am anxious to read the rest of the series.
* Wonder Woman* Gail Simone...I had to read it, and glad I did. Although it is a weird crossover (Conan? really?... ¬¬) it is surprisingly entertaining. Nice read!
Yeah, no.
Huh. The first issue has left me very keen to read the second issue, because I'm very much looking forward to what happens to the slave-owning idiot who's decided it's a good idea to put Conan and Wonder Woman in an arena together to try and get them to kill each other. The setup is rather intriguing, although I'm saying that because we've largely not been told anything about how Dianna's ended up in an arena on the border of Aquilonia; I think I'm mainly looking forward to seeing how Diana and
Right, so, I GENERALLY have a rule about waiting for the collections because otherwise I feel like all you get are tastes of what is to come. This is especially true when just one issue is available because they have to set up the whole arc. I couldn't help it though. I'm riding the Wonder Woman high of the summer, I've always loved Conan, I'm a sucker for mashups, and Gail Simone is a delight to follow on Twitter and she got me so amped for this.I loved it. Its a bit thin right now but the stor...
S'ok I guess. Might be too early to tell. Plot is a bit thin at the moment. The mud trying to pass off as elements of Wondy's costume though is just... Odd.
… THE WARRIOR WITCH!!!
Artwork was very well done and I thought the story was well written and interesting. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
She is defiantly shrouded in mystery.
Another comic I got from my boyfriend for Christmas :) I didn’t really know what to think when it comes to Wonder Woman comics, but I’ll be sure to pick up some more and start my own little collection!
Quite a lot better than I expected, gonna continue this series.
This comic was a good start, I liked it but the mud on her clothes that give away her wonder women suit I find it a little funny! Just saying, and in this comic they call her the witch warrior. Like common!!! What kind of name is that but over all the comic was. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Full series review on issue #6.Issue 1, "A Crow Without Mercy", is so far a compelling tale by Gail Simone. Conan and Yanna have a childhood bond but have not seen each other since. Both are presented as the fiercest of warriors from different corners of the earth. A little bit of romance and magic in the telling, though not necessarily desire and sorcery ... yet. I am enjoying the pencil, ink, and art by Lopresti, Ryan, and Broome, respectively.
An interesting start, manages to keep a good balance of both Wonder Woman and Conan mythologies. The artwork is good and seems to fit the comic well. I like the “random” mud patches on Wonder Woman clothes I am sure these symbols appeared completely by accident. One thing I like about this series I am looking forward to is in our modern “civilized” world Wonder Woman’s warrior heritage has been a bit tamed, I would like to see her mir unleashed in this series.A good setup, to the first or second...
