The Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper

The phrases, The Lord’s Supper and Communion are interchangeable as both are found in Scripture. Communion, “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” The Lord’s Supper, “Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper.” Thus, you will find these terms though out this writing.

The Lord’s Supper or Communion has been misunderstood by many in The Body of Christ. As a result, numerous believers have been robbed of The Ordained Avenue given to us by our Loving Heavenly Father for healing and wholeness. This book explains how partaking of The Bread is for our healing and wholeness and how partaking of The Cup is for our forgiveness. It addresses issues that cause God’s Children to shun, or all too often avoid altogether, partaking of The Lord’s Supper.

Having had three previous back surgeries, the drs. told me in 2001 that a fourth back surgery would do me no good and would undoubtedly leave me paralyzed if attempted. At that time, I was barely able to walk and stairs had become almost impossible, having to scoot on my bottom to get up or down them. I could no longer drive, as the pain from the pressure of placing my foot on either the gas or brake petal had become almost unbearable. When sitting, the pressure on my spine caused agonizing pain in my back and down both legs. I was in excruciating pain virtually all the time; and the pain medications had little to no effect. The drs’ diagnosis was that I would be paralyzed within two years and unable to walk. I would have to adapt to a wheelchair.

Asking myself whose report I was going to believe, the doctors, who prophesied paralysis and a wheelchair or God’s report which says, “…and with his stripes we are healed.” and “… by whose stripes you were healed” I chose to believe God’s Report. Asking Father what I should do, His Word to me was, “Trust Me and start partaking of Communion every day.” To this I have been faithful. I am not in a wheelchair. I am not paralyzed. Father continues to touch my body every day and I am walking, sitting, driving, and going up and down stairs normally, because I submit to His Authority and His Healing Power through His Revelation of The Lord’s Supper and the Power in the Blood and Body of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper represents one of the greatest expressions of God’s Love for me and for you.

Partaking of The Covenant of The Lord’s Supper is not to be seen as or experienced as the traditional routine of our Christian faith, or as a custom that has to be observed. Partaking of The Covenant of The Lord’s Supper is one of Father’s Blessings to be received and accepted. Partaking of The Lord’s Supper is God, our Father, providing us with the opportunity to live and walk in His Divine Health.
