A Hero's Crucible: Only a True Hero Survives

Joseph Mitchell
0/5 ( ratings)
“A Hero’s Crucible” is an uplifting story of a young man who desperately wants to do his part in a national crisis. Some actual events and locations are used to give the story a strong sense of realism. The backdrop is WWII and begins in both Germany and the United States. Nathan is a God fearing young man wanting desperately to serve his country and believes the only way he can to that is through military service. However, due to a physical handicap that level of service is impossible. With the help of a friend he finds work in a secret government facility, what we know as Oakridge, Tennessee. In parallel, the story tells of a classified German program and how it will change the war by attacking one of America’s most critical military facilities. The two threads come together in an exciting string of events as the secret German plan to attack the United States is discovered. With courage and determination Nathan attempts to disrupt the secret Nazi mission. He learns that not all heroes wear a uniform.
