It's a cute adaptation if you love the film. It didn't have a mistake like the Buffy picture book, so that's good.
Book Reviewed on www.whisperingstories.comIf you were a fan of the 80s classic movie Ghostbusters and fancied having a book that represents the film, then here you are! The book is marketed at children but I can see quite a few fans of the movie or 80s kids wanting this book too.The plot is that of the movie, four ghostbusters trying to save New York from all the ghostly happenings that have been occurring lately, as well as Peter trying to save his love interest Dana from the clutches of Gozer....
Good kids yarn for bedtimeKid says "lovely, great, fabulous" and he is only 4 years old. Very short but he liked it so good effort
I was very surprised at how true the book stuck to the plot of the movie. The language is easy enough for my 1st grader to read with some help.
An adorable kid-friendly version of the original Ghostbuster’s movie. The illustrations are perfect. This is a great collectible for anyone who craves 80’s nostalgia.
Challenge: Creature Feature Extravanza October 2020 - Undead (ghosts). A delightful synopsis of the movie, one of my favorites from so many 1980s bests. An indulgence of mine because I had a few Little Golden books as a child and am now purchasing a few that represent each decade or interest of my younger and adult years.
An awesome little adaption of an absolutely fantastic film. I loved every piece of art this small book had to offer and I hope that any child - and adult - who reads it gets a ton of enjoyment from it.
Themes and annual coverage aims: “Who you gonna call…”For many years my 6 year old son has shouted for the song to be our accompaniment for the drive home, no matter the season. I’d love for him to be able to see the film, but I remember my own fear at watching Ghostbusters 2, probably as a young teens so know that I can’t rush these things. A lovely illustrated book to gently introduce the fab story and characters - marshmallows all round today in celebration. Maybe I can let my older daughter
A great introduction for little ones to become acquainted with one of the cinemas best movies(in my humble opinion).
megan winter reading 2017, children's book, picture book, little golden book, series, movie tie-in, ghostbusters, humor, first grade, second grade
My kids love this. They are 4 and 2 years old and think this is the cutest book. I am a huge Ghostbusters fan, so it's nice to have this book as a fun introduction to the series.
