As far as adult coloring books go, there are either full of flowers, animals, peaceful scenes, mandalas, or other images that are created to inspire serenity, peace, and the feeling of calm. But this coloring book is unlike any other coloring book you’re going to come across – it’s about hair. I Love My Hair by Andrea Pippins offers up a great deal of different designs for every hair type – straight, curly, short, long – you name it, and it’s in this book. The drawings are simply beautifu...
One of the absolute best and most creative coloring books on the market!
Love this book. I have purchased copies for my niece.
This is my first review dedicated to a coloring book. So honestly I didn't know where to begin or end. Just know that this coloring book is fantastic. Each page gives you a different design that is dedicated to hair with great messages. The pages are very easy to color and you will catch yourself sitting for hours engrossed in the pages. There isn't one intricate design I didn't love, you flip through the pages and struggle to pick one to start with because you want to color them all. I used col...
LOVE THIS COLORING BOOK!
Pen and ink illustrations feature hair in all its iterations in this coloring book celebrating hair. Although many of us have resisted he coloring book trend that's been sweeping the globe, this book just might entice naysayers to get started on filling in the shapes and even adding their own embellishments to the hairdos. There are all sorts of braids and types of hair from cropped to crimped to curly. There are even examples of hairstyles relying on beads and scarves, lending an appealing worl...
This is my first adult coloring book, and even though I'm not completely sold on the idea, I jumped at the chance to try this one because the author is local to me. And I'm SO GLAD I DID!Coloring is something you can do while listening to an audiobook, riding in the car, or watching T.V. It's a great stress reliever, too. The illustrations in I Love My Hair are beautiful, fun, and the topic is totally relateable, regardless of your current relationship status with your hair.My Hair Relationship
***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog***I never know how to review coloring books, but I want to post a review on some retailer sites, so here is my short paragraph on this coloring book. I absolutely LOVE the design and creativity of this coloring book. I am a huge fan of nature coloring books (like National Geographic types), so this was a new concept for me. This coloring book is more than that - it's a very body-positive book, in a subtle way. I've always been proud of my India-blesse...
Copy provided by the publisherWhen I was in kindergarten in 1970, I received a giant coloring book at our Christmas gift exchange. It may still be under my mattress. For years, I would haul it out and color a picture or two over winter break, carefully signing and dating each masterpiece. In middle school, the school store sold tag board folders that were shiny white with black and white line drawing that the cool kids would color with markers. I never wanted to spend the $1, so I don't have one...
