This draft set of study notes is intended to provide students of Systema with a handy aide memoire on themes, topics and exercises that are described in the martial works of Scott Sonnon.
Scott Sonnon is not necessarily well-known to the Systema community however his knowledge and training methods are extremely relevant having spent six years with the former USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs and Special Operations Unit Physical Conditioning and Performance Enhancement Specialists at the RETAL Centre. During his time in Russia he became the first American to be licensed by the Russian government in science based physical skill consulting & training.
These notes are by no means complete or comprehensive but simply reflect one student's ongoing observations and understanding of Systema and how a practical understanding of stress physiology and exercise science as taught by Scott Sonnon can lead to performance enhancement.
It is hoped that others will find these notes useful.
