Voices on the Wind

Voices on the Wind

Michael Anders
0/5 ( ratings)
Voices on the Wind is the story of a young stallion’s amazing journey from the dawn of creation to the end of time.
A spritely colt, Wind Racer, is born to a Wyoming ranching family and raised by their 13-year-old daughter, Megan. He learns the traits of equine character essential for herdfriendship from the voices he hears on the wind, the mentoring whinnies and nickering spirits of venerable ancient horses. But learning is so much more than listening and Racer soon discovers that as he embraces the voices, he is transported by them and actually lives the often perilous, yet exciting lives of these equines of renown.
Joining in extraordinary rituals, clashing on dangerous battle fields, entertaining at the courts of kings, and dancing at the wedding feasts of princesses and warriors; we experience with Racer the intimate lives of twelve different breeds of horses as they participate, shape and live in historic times and diverse cultures. With them we learn and grow, sharing their excitement, their joy, and sometimes their fear and pain. We are privileged to know each thought and understand every nicker.
Thrill with Paul Revere and his Narragansett Pacer Browan as they sound the call to arms that births these great United States. Fight alongside horsefriend Colonel Charlie Reed as he risks his life to save the grand Lipizzaner Florentine Katherine. Marvel with Racer as he journeys across the vast Arabian Desert with Shahrzada, the regal Arabian mount of the Queen of Sheba, and meets wise King Solomon. Team up with Racer as he joins a rather proud and unruly American Standardbred Darcy and together they pull the first American Chuck Wagon. And discover with Racer the ancient origins of Equus and meet Horse, the very first of his kind.
Learn as Racer does, that every horse has value, and to find and experience that value we all must look beyond hoof, and withers, and mane.
Finally, grab the reins and dash and gallop and fly with him as he takes the ultimate test, a test of life and death to save his most beloved Megan.
Voices on the Wind is a story about one horse, and it is a story about all horses. It is a saga of experiencing, of learning and finally of living and loving.
