The Catalyst

Amanda Brown
0/5 ( ratings)
Set mainly in the beautiful countryside of Kent, England, in the run up to the general election in 1997, the story involves a variety of characters whose lives are impacted by the unwitting catalyst of a 40 year old mum colliding with the empty nest syndrome.

Meet Simon a city banker, although recently engaged to Catherine a social worker, who cannot resist the temptations of Susie and Alita, a couple of up-coming models and occasional call girls he meets at a photo shoot and subsequently enjoys some sexual threesomes with.

In the meantime Susie's 'sugar daddy' boyfriend, a successful composer in his fifties known affectionately as Music, suffers domestic disruption when his housekeeper is sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Music's American business assistant, Ursa, recruits a replacement, Ellen, who has recently seen off her last child to University, and rented out her house through estate agent Angus and her best friend Mel.

Ellen's arrival in the sleepy commuter village of Tadgreen and her innocent actions cause a dramatic shift in all their lives and a change in direction for her own.
