Sequetus 3 (THE SEQUETUS SERIES)

Sequetus 3 (THE SEQUETUS SERIES)

Nick Broadhurst
0/5 ( ratings)
Welcome to The Sequetus Series epic. This is the first book, with the second book as complimentary. In 1989 an extraterrestrial intelligence officer is commissioned to go to Sequetis 3, locally known as Earth. His mission is to find out what is happening on the planet. It is way overdue for intervention. The local sector shrouds Earth in mystery, so why? All other agents are dead.

Written on a tapestry of controversial historical data, the story starts in 1989 during the last days of the Cold War, and then comes forward in time. The American Star-Wars initiative was taking hold in space.

On another world an extraterrestrial intelligence officer is ordered to Earth to find out why this little planet had not been intervened, why no intervention? It should have happened years ago. It is dangerous for a planet populace to remain too long thinking they are alone in the galaxy. This intelligence officer is named Goren Torren. He has been alerted by his superior to the fact that while intervention has not happened, the planet – called Sequetus 3 - known locally as Earth, has space flight. It also has computers which are in their infancy. Plus the planet has enough atomic weapons to incinerate itself, and is on the verge of total nuclear war. Intervention should have happened by now. So this scenario does not fit with the rational social development and eventual integration of new-worlds into the civilisations of the Federation out there.

So it is 1989. Goren Torren finds Earth, of the Sequetus System, unique. It is secret. It has been kept secret. Many extraterrestrial missions have been to Sequetus 3 - Earth, but for what purpose? The Federation out there has all but banned missions to Earth. The planet itself is riddled with mysteries. Go with Goren to find out what lies under the mysteries you may have heard about regarding planet Earth. Why does its own populace not know the truth? There are answers here.

But in the long term the central clue to these mysteries however are the short-lives that Earth people live, an average of seventy-four years, which is in contrast to the long-lives lived out there. Why? That single datum flies against the planet’s fast developing technology. Is technology being ceded to the planet from out there via a hidden source? Then who is doing this, and for what purpose? Also, were not the first colonists on the planet thousands of years ago long-lifers? What changed and why? This just does not add up from out there. All these questions will be addressed in this series.

But first, in this book, Goren Torren has to deliver an intelligence estimate of the situation, with a solution, knowing that it may lead to the genocide of six billion people on Earth.

Follow Broadhurst as he creates a plot that can have you riveted, laughing one moment, maybe weeping the next. For while the story is pure fiction, what is discovered might be something else.

This book sets up the scenario for the next books.

The story is written on a researched tapestry of data. Some may argue its validity. Some may not. Either way there is a lot of information in this book. Do not rush it.

Furthermore, the first draft for the story was written in 1989, the same year the story kicks off.

There is also a Glossary of Terms and historical notes to help the reader understand words used in the book. When first used those words are bookmarked and hyperlinked to the glossary so the reader can quickly understand the depth of the data behind the term. The glossary not only has words used in this science fiction story that are not used elsewhere, but also it makes references to the real life information behind the plot in the book.
