This excellent collection of short stories and novellas are what you would get if David Sedaris, TC Boyle, and Gary Shtyengart's moms accidentally sold all their unpublished work to the same lucky individual at a garage sale. This is unknown but good stuff, your own private treasure.

For example: Have you ever falsely been accused of a misdemeanor? No, this isn't suddenly an ad for legal services: In the story "The Purple Pants" we follow Milo as we see the effects of multiple misdemeanors piling up, including being told by the police he smells like marijuana . In "February 13th" we get to spend time with a couple that, instead of dating, scares ones another in an escalating flirtation. The novella Backyardia deals with a young couple trying to have children, while their backyard has a host of creatures that come into their life. "I'm Pretty Sure They Were Asian" concerns the youngest Mayor ever elected in a town full of racists. Nature, marriage, humor, relationships, and the kind of keen narration the human mind is capable of are the themes of these and other stories included in this collection.
