Useful bibliography of books for read alouds.
Good source for book recommendations for children. Had fun getting ideas for my son and for recommending to children & parents at the library.
Great collection and summaries
I like the idea of this book better than the execution. Being a big book lover, I really enjoy lists of books to read. And silly books? Right up my alley as an elementary school teacher. The books listed were quiet good, but somehow, the lists weren't a pleasure to read. Nancy Peal's book lists are much more appealing.
This is a great resource for any and all patents who are looking for new authors and silly books from babies to elementary readers. Some of the choices were family and some weren't. It was just what we needed to infuse new books that the kids would enjoy.
So helpful as I try to navigate the tons of books at the library. I love to read funny books with Phoenix so this was a great resource. Got it from the library but will purchase a copy soon to keep either my purse or car so its handy whenever we got a book store or library.

More than a recommended reading
Rob Reid does it again! He is truly one of my favorite Early Lit/Storytime/Literature recommendations for young kids authors. The book itself is catered to parents, educators, and librarians, the age range of the books (which is mentioned) covers infancy to tweens in terms of reading level (which is a helpful change)...The books themselves range from picture books, chapter, poetry, joke books and more...Its a great resource to get started with, THOUGH its publication date does make it outdated e...
Excellent resource. I do not agree with all of his choices but most are spot on.
This is a list of books for parents and kids to read aloud, so in that sense, you don't "read" it, but I did browse the selections and I like what I see! I've already ordered several books and we'll just work our way through the lists. There are lists for picture books, easy readers, chapter books, poetry and manga/graphic novels. Looking forward to many a silly hour!
Thorough resource for fun read alouds.
Useful for teachers, parents, and children's librarians, although not comprehensive and based more on the author's experience & preferences.
