I'm getting used to the detailed story-telling and loving it
I can't even explain how spectacular this book is. Everything is perfect, the story is so catchy, I love how different and interesting Denna and Kvothe's relationship is. Patrick Rothfuss really knows how to play with words and makes everything sound so melodious and beautiful. The complexity of the world that he created blows my mind. Such a great book
One of my best fantasy series (saying this and having about 1000 fantasy books on my shelf - its a great honor). For a long time i did not experienced "okay - one more chapter and sleep"- and it is 3a.m. already and i'm reading for past 5 hours... Really good book and series!
Best thing you as fantasy lover will read in a while!

What a great way to start my reading year!I’m still amazed by the worldbuilding (the idea of the Adem sign language is brilliant), by all of those mysteries, that somehow seem to be connected (I do have some theories!) and by some of the new characters, that were introduced (especially Tempi).Okay the pacing was a little bit odd? On the one hand we have a rather slow writing style (which I don’t mind) and some detailed storylines without having much of an influence on the plot (which I did mind

Best series ever!
I know this book is part of a larger series, and that this particular volume is part of a two-part subset within the series. Nonetheless, I felt that for a book as long as this one is, it seemed to lack a defining plot arch. This is not to say that it is not interesting, but it seems to consist of a series of subplots without a significant climax or resolution. The character development is not particularly strong either. I don't really see Kvothe growing and changing. Again, this may be because
enjoyed it far more than the first one. elodin's amazing and denna was surprisingly not that irritating!can't wait to read the rest of the book..
Best book I've ever read!!
The second book is so much better than the first for several things: Kvothe's struggles for money are not so annoying, Denna is less annoying too, University life is shown in a better light. Although, I'm still missing more intel about Kvothe's real mission regarding his parents' death.

Okay so I have a bookclub meeting for this book, and i can't be fucked to write a review rn, but heres a list of thoughts:-That fucking prologue, jesus christ, it was alright when I read it the first time, now for the fourth time as the epilogue I'm done. It was so good, and the pace was slow but not boring, and I was completely in the story with Kvothe. I was hoping for more stories with the Chandrians (I don't know if it's the same name in english but in French they're called like that) and I still hated Denna. I'm kind of disappointed to be so into this story because I know it's a doomed one without an end (pleaaaase send the 3rd and final book!)
As engaging as the first book, where the plot thickens and the main character strives for his answers. Many of is older questions get answered, some others evolve into something he has not yet understood.The pranks he plays on his nemesis, the back fire of some of them, costing him plenty of privileges.Another chapter of a hero still reviving some of his memories, telling a wonderful story of a boy, becoming a legend through ingenious and bold actions.
