The Guarded Gates

The Guarded Gates

Katrina Britt
3/5 ( ratings)
Dionis Ward was an interior decorator — and a very good one, too, so when her sister Angela got engaged to a Spaniard it seemed the natural thing for her to get Dionis to make the trip to Spain and do up the villa that Angela and Antonio planned to live in. But it was a rented villa and the landlord, Don Juan Vicente de Vicente de Velez y Stebelo, had other ideas about the whole thing! He was a landlord on an almost feudal scale, and with all the high born Spaniard's disapproval of any woman, especially a young and attractive one, working for her living, and in such a manner. So the sparks flew between him and Dionis from the start — and it didn't help when her old and dear friend Ceasre Delusi arrived , and gave Don Juan entirely the wrong idea about that too!
