Heart Scrapes, Job Hell

Heart Scrapes, Job Hell

Charles Joseph Albert
5/5 ( ratings)
A first collection of poetry, with an eclectic mix of styles ranging from the classical sonnet to postmodern deconstructionism. The two central themes of the book, Love and Work, pull a coherent voice from the whole. The witty word play, often in face of overwhelming themes, makes these poems shine.

Author Biography
Charles Albert, 36, has worked as a jazz trombonist, nuclear physicist, air pollution scientist, machinist, and computer consultant. He has been writing poetry and prose since he was 14. He currently has two more volumes of poetry in preparation, Hope Scars the Bell Jar, and 30 Love Poems.
