Singing Cormorant

Singing Cormorant

William Mann
0/5 ( ratings)
Singing Cormorant is a collection of poems surrounding a short story describing events and experiences that occur during a lifetime. The book is divided into five chapters. The first four chapters describe how powerless we are in controlling the passing of time, bringing personal sadness as loved ones are left behind, as well as happiness and excitement as new horizons are discovered In the middle of the book is the chapter Cormorants Never Sing, a that tells the story of a Welsh man who realises that his language has become extinct in his own lifetime and that every song and every poem ever written for the last two thousand years will never be sung or spoken in that language again. The final section is a collection of poems which pursue the lament of the first four chapters, but are commenting on the misery and suffering of the powerless, wherever they might be in the world.
