This was a fun addition to the CWA.VersusLuminara has to face a Wampa, Durkii and an evil supreme droid without her lightsaber or the Force in order to receive information from a Hutt.Old ScoresAurra Sing is on Nar Shaddaa because a Hutt wants her dead. There's a scene where she jumps through the air and analyzes which vehicle is the best to steal. It was hilarious. One of a KindObi-Wan is on Kamino because the Separists want Jango's genes. A PALE Zeltron bounty hunter named Vianna D'Pow is very
Another successful series of short, action-packed adventures: Luminara Unduli ends up in some sort of Hutt battle pit and fights all kinds of vicious creatures--besting all of them easily, of course. These include a wampa, a dinosaur thing, and droid with the subtle name of Evil Supreme. In another story, the bounty hunter Aurra Singh accepts a job from a Hutt crime lord who, to his misfortune, ends up double-crossing her. And failing. This has some particularly funny moments. In another story, O...
Ohhhh, this was a great one.The first story in here is one that I remembered bits of, but it didn't prevent me from fully loving it all over again. It's about Luminara competing in this arena-style battle, and it's just as fun as you'd expect. I know all of the stories could technically work as fleshed-out Clone Wars episodes, but this one really stood out to me as notable there.Ooh, the second one was so good. It's the first one in this series featuring Aurra Sing, and it gives some insight int...
What can I say, I just really enjoy star wars. This series just keeps delivering for me with some very interest in stories that supply a different perspective. I can honestly imagine these events happening which adds to the experience. From Jedi bankrupting crime bosses to droids developing a mind of their own. Its always an adventure no matter how wacky and crazy. Try to remember this was written for kids and just enjoy the ride. I would have to say the art is easy and fun as well. Nothing thou...
These are some of the best Star Wars comics. Just good, solid fun space adventure.
These little books are fun to read.
The first story starts in Mondo-Mod The Hutt's Arena of Doom. Luminara has agreed to fight three animals with no lightsaber and without using the Force in exchange for information if she wins. Bets are placed, which focuses on a person who is wearing a mask. Luminara wins her first battle against a wampa. Mondo-Mod protests that she used the Force, she says she used physics. He tells her she can't use physics against the next durkii. Bets are place again, and against the person wearing a mask be...
It was good volume.

Star Wars Legends Project #114 Background: Clone Wars Adventures, Volume 8 was released in June 2007. It consists of four stories in the style of Cartoon Network's animated Clone Wars series: Versus, Old Scores, One of a Kind, and Pathways. All but the third were pencilled by the Fillbach Brothers, and they also wrote the first one. The second was written by Chris Avellone, the third was written by Jason Hall with art by Ethan Beavers, and the fourth was written by Jeremy Barlow. Hall's other
For grades 3-8, featuring four entertaining tales of the Republic versus Separatist action. I think this will be extremely appealing for fans of the cartoon and the colorful graphics are excellent. "Versus" - An enigmatic Jedi is thrown into Hutt's Arena of Doom and forced to battle three fearsome opponents. First comes a Wampa, followed by a dinosaur-like Durkii, and finished with the killer robot subtly named Evil Supreme. "Old Scores" - Ex-Padawan and current bounty hunter Aurra Sing accepts
This was a particularly good volume. I especially enjoyed the final story with the Droid Trooper.
Another pretty uniformly bad collection. Versus and Old Scores are trite and familiar, their attempts at wit just calling attention to their vapidity. One of a Kind is a flickering candle of interest, going for a fairly unusual strategy of using exposition boxes about random EU trivia as an intertextual foil for a random character's backstory. It's a big unusual, lets Kenobi be kind, somewhat creative. Minor points. Pathways echoes that Aayla Secura Endor story in its totally uncharacteristic B1...
Suitable for children aged 8+ and those who have seen the cartoons.A Jedi takes on beasts in an area a with no powers or a lightsaber. This is fun, if somewhat predictable storyline. Aurea Sing has to fight for her life, look out for the smart bombs, they are funny and the highlight of the story. A bounty hunter is sent to get a gene sample of the clones, a surprisingly touching story. Finally a battle droid questions its existence. Another fun volume. A good read.
AwesomeII chose this rating because it is a great bookI would really recommend this book to anyone under 8
