I go through this book once or twice a week to practice basic chords on the guitar. Joe Pass was one of the most important guitarists of the 20th century. I highly recommend "Joe Pass Guitar Chords" to every guitarist because: #1 it will help you get your chord chops together, #2 it covers the basic chords you need to know, & #3 it'll get away from playing just "cowboy" chords all the time. Joe Pass was one of the greatest guitarists who ever lived! So when he talks, one should listen. This short book displays many of the chord forms that Pass would use in his improvised sections of his work. He had developed as system of “grips” that allowed him to improvise chordal progressions on the spot.
