On Majesty, the world of fortresses, floating platforms, and walkways, gone is the age of mana-wielding heroes and heroines fighting monsters and sorcerers. Gone is the age of barbaric male warriors when Warlord Aerol trained his best into organised soldiers to defeat past enemies.

But the Age of Warriors is not over, for Aerol. Demons of long-dead northern warrior enemies haunt his mind. Aerol's conquests, triumphs, against his enemies don't feel complete. This time he wants to confront what's left of them on their battlegrounds, on his own, to show them he doesn't fear them, even if it means sacrificing himself.

He’s soon conflicted about his plan. Downstairs in the Lonely Fortress discipline has lapsed, but, Aerol’s self-imposed duty to seek violent punishment is stalled by the kind and beautiful Hermena, who urges forgiveness. It turns out she needs Aerol to save an order of scholars from death, and she attempts to persuade him that nothing good will come of his plan to face northern warriors again. Aerol doesn’t want to be changed from his course.
